Patricia Polacco is a picture book author and illustrator. Patriacia was born in Lansing, Michigan on a farm in July of 1944. She couldn't read untill she was 14 do to the disease dyslexia. Dyslexia is the disease of having a hard time reading and writing. At the age of 41 Patricia started writing picture books. Now she only lives a few blocks away from her childhood home. Patricia is her own illustrator. In 2003 she wort and illustrated G Is For Goat and The Graves Family__. We think Patricia is a great author.We also find it interesting that she connets her book to her life.
